As well as providing physical care, it is committed to ensuring that people have control over their lives and are treated with dignity and respect at all times.

Quality services

At Gregory Court our trained and committed staff team ensure that people are at the centre of all we do. Our range of expertise includes physiotherapy, speech and language and occupational therapy. Team members are selected for their qualifications and experience and they are committed to respecting service users as individuals and supporting them to achieve their individual potential and long-term goals. The team also plays a key role in person-centred planning, being involved in progress meetings and transition planning, reviewing service users’ goals to ensure they are achieving their aspirations.

Our Philosophy

Gregory Court is committed to providing an environment that encourages personal development, confidence and independence. Service users are encouraged to take part in a wide range of social, vocational and recreational activities.

As well as providing physical care, our focus at Gregory Court is on maintaining and maximising service users’ quality of life, therefore giving people real choice, options and control over their lives.

We ensure that any complaints are listened to and responded to within given timescales, and regularly review and monitor our service to ensure effectiveness and quality. Each person is fully involved in all decisions that may affect them.

We support and encourage service users to live as independently as possible, without a ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach. We also use technology to promote independence – anything from an adapted kettle through to highly sophisticated, automatic environmental controls and specialist communications aids, all of which enable people to gain independent living skills and build confidence. We feel that it is important to use local knowledge and expertise, and therefore have close links with primary care teams and foster relationships to share best practice.

Facilities and environment

Situated close to the city centre of Nottingham, Gregory Court comprises ten single flatlets, each with a low level kitchenette, bedroom, lounge area and low-level access shower. Each flatlet has an en suite bathroom, toilet facilities and use of a hoist, if required. Assisted bathrooms are also available.

While each individual flat has its own kitchenette to offer individuals the option of self-catering, a full meal service with a nutritional, varied diet is always available and is responsive to special dietary needs. Service users are actively involved in menu planning

There is a central communal garden where residents enjoy social events and a lounge/dining room where service users can have their meals, watch television, take part in activities and meetings or simply socialise. To ensure the safety of all service users at Gregory Court, there are CCTV cameras on the premises; service users have individual lockable front doors with key fob entry on communal doors, 24 hour on-site staffing and a call system in all rooms.

Gregory Court also offers a person-centred approach to support and service users are encouraged to take part in a wide range of educational and recreational activities including cooking, art and crafts, exercise, laundry, personal safety, financial management and IT. Activities are discussed with service users’ individual key workers and take place on a one-to-one basis. Day trips include visits to the coast, bowling and theatre, and are planned with the input of all service users.

Gregory Court is situated in the heart of the community, one mile north of Nottingham city centre, with direct access to the newly installed Nottingham Tram System and is close to the M1 motorway and all forms of public transport.

There are many local shops and a supermarket within a 5-10 minute walk, as well as a leisure centre, swimming pool, cinema, restaurants and public houses, which are all accessible on the bus or tram.
